Our commitment
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our target when designing and reviewing ExamXpress. Accessibility is ongoing work: we test, respond to feedback, and improve the experience as content and features change.
Accessibility features
- Semantic headings, landmarks, labels, and descriptive link text on informational pages.
- Keyboard-accessible links, controls, answer choices, and question navigation.
- Responsive layouts intended to work with browser zoom and smaller screens.
- Text explanations and results that do not rely only on color.
- An optional browser read-aloud mode for practice questions and choices when supported by the device.
- Official source links for learners who need the material in another format or language.
Known limitations
The current practice experience is in English. Browser speech quality, voice availability, and pronunciation vary by browser and operating system, and some speech services may require network access. The optional speech feature is a convenience and is not a replacement for screen-reader software or an official accommodation.
Some interactive status announcements and focus treatments may still need refinement across all combinations of browsers and assistive technologies. We are continuing to review the timed test, results, and question navigation experiences.
